The Alma set the questions for the latest round of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock LVA Quiz League, resulting in some extremely close results.

At the Martello club, the visiting Charlton B took the spoils with a six-point victory, whilst at the Golf Club, in a contest that was nip and tuck all the way, Mike's six-pointer on his sport question gave the home side a two-point win over the Oak.

The only convincing win of the evening was at the Charlton where the A side entertained the St. Govan's Inn team and took the win with a 15-point margin and the night's top score.

Finally, in a very enjoyable game with the Station A, the First & Last opened up a six-point lead after the first round, but couldn't build on it. The Station kept on plugging away at the First & Last's lead and went into the final round three points adrift. With the First & Last playing safe with a three-point team question, the Station pulled off a magnificent individual to level the scores at 60-all. The Station then took a team question to slip into the lead, but it was wiped away with an individual from Cliff to put the First & Last back in the lead at 66-63. The Station were unable to take a final individual for the win which brought an end to a remarkably close game.

So the results for week 10 of the quiz were: Martello Club 62 Charlton B 68; First & Last 66 Station A 63; Charlton A 84 St. Govan's Inn 69 and Golf Club 75 Oak 73.

After these results, the Station B remain top with 18 points, but the Golf Club move up to a challenging second, just two points adrift, while the Station A and both Charlton teams are on 15, with the Oak and First & Last on 12. So with 10 games still to play, it is anyone's title to win.
