Cosh Brewery set a good competitive set of questions for the second week of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock LVA Quiz League resulting in some very close games.
Charlton B travelled to the Naval Club and came away winners by just one point whilst at the Station Inn, in the crunch match between the A and B teams, with two questions remaining, the B team led 52-51. The A team nominated Alan to go for six points and he answered the Smokey Robinson and the Miracles question correctly putting the pressure back on the B team. Question subject opera, Bob takes the question and answers Egypt, correct and they win by one point, smiles all round.
Not quite so close in the other matches, St. Govan's visited the Charlton and lost quite heavily, the Alma A surprisingly easily beat their B team and the Oak were comfortable winners at home to the First and Last.
After two weeks, the early leaders are the Charlton B and the Alma A having won both their games and the week's results were: Station B 58 Station A 57; Charlton A 70 St. Govan's 51; Naval Club 68 Charlton B 69; Alma B 57 Alma A 77; Oak 65 First and Last 54.
