Valero held their annual golf tournament last Friday at Milford Haven Golf Club. A lot of organising went into this fabulous event and it was well supported by many keen golfers.

This year Valero’s chosen charity was Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.

Throughout the day, the organisation held a raffle and an auction to raise vital funds for their chosen charity.

A fantastic amount was raised on the day and this was matched by Valero; making it a total of £3,003.

Lisa Wells, income generation team administrator at Paul Sartori, said: “We are so grateful to all local events such as the Valero Golf Tournament for supporting the charity. It is through the generosity of the local community that we are able to provide end of life care to Pembrokeshire people.

“The staff at the terminal have always been very keen to support worthwhile charities such as the Paul Sartori Foundation. We are all delighted with the proceeds raised from this year’s event and would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who supported it,” said Jamie Dow, senior manager at Valero Pembrokeshire Oil Terminal Ltd.

Paul Sartori Hospice at Home provides a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life-limiting illness, including home nursing care, equipment loan, complementary therapy, bereavement and counselling support, clinical nurse specialist in palliative care, physiotherapy, advance care planning and training.

The services provided by the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home enable people in the later stages of any life-limiting illness to be cared for and to die at home with dignity, independence, pain free and surrounded by those they hold most dear, if that is their wish.

All of the services are free of charge and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, thanks to the generosity of the Pembrokeshire community.
