AFTER a very early start on Saturday morning, Neyland Ladies Choir travelled to Maesteg for the Festival of Female Voices. Participating in three morning workshops, performing a couple of items in the Atrium, and a rehearsal in the afternoon with 11 other choirs from South Wales, the day culminated in a fantastic Gala Concert in the evening.
Member Noreen Hadfield said: “The welcome and support shown to us during the day by the organisers and helpers was excellent - each one carrying out their duties with a smile.
“It was a perfect opportunity for the choir to fly the flag for Neyland and, along with Serendipity Choir, represent Pembrokeshire at the event.
“A great experience and we were delighted to be part of it! Thank you all.”
Thanks also go to the ladies themselves and the choir’s wonderful musical team of Lynne Kelleher and Miranda Davies, who every week put in time and effort to get Neyland Ladies Choir to the standard to perform alongside the other choirs from South Wales.

Much preparation work was put into the festival, which saw the Neyland Ladies’ first performances since a Choir and Cawl evening at East Williamston Community Hall on February 28.
