After a call was made by local councillors for volunteers to help out with a project to spruce up Tenby’s iconic bandstand - two local organisations have come forward to offer their assistance.

Members of Tenby Town Council have recently discussed the need for a refurbishment of the bandstand on Castle Hill due to its poor state, and while Pembrokeshire County Council said that the authority would be happy to provide some paint for the project, there was still a need to find volunteers to assist.

At Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the town clerk told members that Tenby and District Lions and the Rotary Club of Tenby had contacted him to state they would be more than willing to help.

Following a meeting with R and M Williams Building Group on site at Heywood Court to discuss the play park work there, the company also indicated that they were willing to offer any support as well to the bandstand project.
