There will be no election for Tenby Town Council next month due to three councillors standing down and three residents stepping up to fill the vacancies.
At their meeting on Tuesday night, councillors were told that there were no vacant seats, as three candidates had already put their names forward for consideration, confirmed to be ex-Mayors John Griffiths and Maureen Ward and former town councillor Tony Brown, who would automatically fill the roles of those current members stepping down - Clr. Dr Peter Easy, Clr. Mrs. Kerri Durham and Clr. Will Rossiter.
The town clerk told members that as he now knew who those new members coming in were, he could bring forward the swearing-in procedure to Tuesday, May 9, to coincide with a meeting of the town council.
