Each month Pembrokeshire Prayer for the Suffering Church (PPSC) brings news of individuals and situations from different countries around the world, alternating audio-visual updates with informal, interactive opportunities for prayer.
One of the countries in focus this month is Nigeria, and there will be an opportunity to send cards of encouragement to Deborah (pictured). In the space of just three months, Deborah (aged 45) lost her husband, her son and her two daughters at the hands of Islamist group Boko Haram.
Also pictured is Mr. Hegazy, also called Boulos. Aged 31, he is a high-profile campaigner for religious liberty who has been detained in Egypt for allegedly inciting 'sectarian strife'. It is feared he may be undergoing torture. More of his story will be told at PPSC. Then to add your voice to the calls for justice, simply 'sign and send' one of the letters available on the night.
There will also be the opportunity to send birthday greetings to the children of friends in Pakistan.
PPSC is next held on Tuesday (January 28) at the Apostolic Church in Pembroke. That's the tin-chapel near the Railway Station (SA71 4AH). The meeting starts at 7.30 pm and finishes with refreshments around 9 pm. All are welcome.
