Children in Years 5 and 6 at Pembroke Dock Community School have recently been studying World War II as part of their curriculum studies.
Last Friday, the children had the opportunity to dress up as a person from that era, eat a fantastic meal inspired from the 1940s (deliciously prepared by Tina and the team in the kitchen) and took their homemade gas masks everywhere they went in case of the air raid siren going off.
All children had a thoroughly enjoyable day, and to top it off, class 5.2 performed their assembly to the parents.
Mrs. Prevel's class assembly about writing news reports about the bombings in Pembroke Dock was outstanding and of truly professional quality.
The Year 5 and 6 wing are now busy preparing for the Christmas production of 'Edith's Wartime Scrapbook', which will be performed on December 17 and 18.
