Pembroke hosted two days of civic celebrations at the weekend.

On Saturday, at the AGM of Pembroke Town Council, Clr. David Boswell and Mrs. Denise Boswell became the 638th Mayor and Mayoress of Pembroke. Following the AGM, a civic dinner was held in Pembroke Town Hall.

On Sunday, a spectacular parade through Main Street, led by the 1st Battalion of the Royal Welsh Band, took place followed by a service in St. Mary’s Church.

Meanwhile, the new Mayor of Pembroke Dock is Clr. Jane McNaughton.

She donned the scarlet robes of office at the mayor-making ceremony in the Pater Hall on Friday.

The meeting also saw five new councillors welcomed to Pembroke Dock Town Council.

Clr. Jane McNaughton was proposed for the role of First Citizen by Clr. Margaret Murton and seconded by Clr. Gordon Goff.

Deputy Mayor will be Clr. Gordon Goff who was proposed by Clr. Margaret Murton and seconded by Clr. Pam George.
