Mick Booth and St. Issell’s Church would like to thank everyone who sponsored Mick for the New Year’s Day Swim this year.

He spent the whole of the previous year promoting his campaign to raise money for new musical equipment for church.

The magnificent sum of £1,959 was raised by Mick and along with a Bags of Help Grant from Tesco, the church have been able to buy a mobile digital piano and the necessary accompanying equipment to enable St. Issell’s to go out into the community.

Sunday saw the first outdoor service on the Events Decking , and with thanks also to Clive Raymond of West Wales Music for his technical expertise in buying the equipment, St. Issell’s plans to record the Sunday services and have the ability for people to download them as podcasts from the new church website.

St. Issell’s is certainly keeping up with the times!
