Two of Tenby’s most popular hoteliers are celebrating their 10th anniversary at the helm of the resort’s Giltar Hotel.

Malcolm Brace and Patrick Jenkins marked the occasion by inviting customers who have supported them over their first decade to an anniversary afternoon tea.

Around 40 patrons who regularly attend Sunday lunches, theme nights and functions were treated to a delicious array of cakes and scones, while a magician entertained everyone as a thank you for their support.

“It feels unreal that we are celebrating our 10th anniversary,” said Malcolm.

“The time has flown. We enjoyed toasting our first decade with our friends - our customers - without whose support we would not have achieved what we have. We also have to thank our staff and our suppliers, who have also been loyal and supportive, and look forward to working with them over our next 10 years!

“The event went well and everyone enjoyed the celebrations,” continued Malcolm, who along with Patrick, took over the Victorian hotel which enjoys a spectacular location on the resort’s Esplanade overlooking the magnificent South Beach and Caldey Island, on March 1, 2009.

Since then, Malcolm, Patrick and their staff have given the hotel an exciting new lease of life.

With expert advice and help from their interior designer Linda Hunt, of Meigan Design, an ambitious programme of refurbishment has seen the creation of deluxe and premier rooms, in addition to the standard rooms to suit all tastes and budgets.
