Love is in the air in Pembroke Dock as plans continue for a special Valentine's Day event next month.

As one of the many events to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Pembroke Dock, a Bicentenary Sweethearts Dinner and Dance is being held on February 14 at the Pater Hall.

The evening is an official event of Pembroke Dock Bicentenary Group, kindly supported by the Pater Hall Trust.

"It promises to be a wonderful, romantic occasion," says one of the organisers, Rev. Nicky Skipworth.

The evening will include a dinner buffet, high class prize raffle, plus music from the 1950s onwards.

Tickets (£12 per person) are now on sale until February 3 inclusive from three shops in Pembroke Dock town centre, namely The Bridal Collection, Meyrick Street, and Dorina's and Crystal, both in Dimond Street.

Dress code is black tie/ball gown/lounge suit.

Very kindly, The Bridal Collection will give 15 per cent of the purchase price of any gown being bought for the event to The Sunderland Trust or to the churches of our parish, while Mr. Roberts in Laws Street will be giving a 10 per cent discount on men's suits purchased or hired for the occasion. To obtain the discount, all people have to do is to show their ticket to the respective shop.
