Recently, the ladies from Lamphey and District WI kindly donated £250 towards the work at Stackpole Gardens providing work experience and horticultural training to adults with learning disabilities.

The monies were raised through a variety of events, particularly a St. David's Day lunch, and each year a local charity is selected as beneficiary.

On accepting the cheque, Brian Griffiths, chairman of Pembrokeshire Mencap Ltd., thanked the ladies and explained that, without the generous support of organisations such as this, small charities were finding it increasingly difficult in the current economic climate.
