Lamphey Primary School cross country team competed in the Pembroke family of schools cross country championships and became area champions for the first time in over 10 years.

A strong team of over 40 athletes took part in the event and were successful through hard training and good coaching by Miss Campbell and Ruth.

A number of year teams were also successful in their own right.

The following year teams won - Year 3 girls; Year 3 boys; Year 4 girls; Year 6 boys.

Following on from this success, the cross country team took part in the Pembrokeshire Cross Country Championships at Oakwood.

All pupils did exceptionally well with the Year 5 boys' team (Louis, Ben and William) coming third in their group and very strong performances by Kyle, Kasia, Louis and Ben, all of whom finished in the top 10.
