Jane was accompanied by Joan Cox, recently appointed president, and Pat Omnet, a longstanding member of the Inner Wheel Club of Pembroke.
A cheque for £225 was presented to Parkinson’s Pembrokeshire branch, with a further cheque for £225 donated to research into Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurological condition caused by a lack of dopamine and causing the death of nerve cells in the brain. A Parkinson’s day is held every Wednesday at the Hope Centre.
Other services provided by the Hope Centre include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, physiotherapy and speech therapy. The organisation also provides care, support and counselling advice to individuals and their families.
President Jane said that the Inner Wheel Club of Pembroke was delighted to support the Parkinson’s Foundation and she wished the organisation well for the future.
