When the business of the club had been completed at the usual monthly meeting on February 25, at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel, president Evelyn MacCullum was delighted to induct a new member, Mai Butterworth.

Two days later, five members had a meeting with Debbie Drewett, the garden manager at Stackpole Walled Garden (Mencap) to present a gift from the club.

The background to this gift has occurred because Inner Wheel Clubs all over the world are celebrating 90 years of friendship, fellowship and voluntary service. The clubs in Great Britain and Ireland are donating in their own community some form of item with 'wheels'.

The Pembroke club decided to donate a wheelbarrow together with three beautiful shrubs for the Secret Garden.
