Many friends from other local churches joined the congregation of Bethel Baptist Church at the induction of Pastor Michael Bave on Saturday. The service was led by Bethel's Moderator, Rev. Roger Hart, who has been a wonderful support to Bethel over the years.

The scripture reading was given by Pastor Mary Bave, the new minister's wife. The history of the call was given by Maggie Randall, secretary and deacon; the new pastor responded and sang a solo 'Going to Bethel' (by Nancy Honeytree), which had a special meaning for him and his wife.

The induction ceremony followed and the deacons, Maggie Randall, Sandra Edwards and Gerald Cadogan laid hands on Pastors Michael and Mary Bave. Rev. Roger Hart gave a special message and prayed for the new pastor and his wife. Organist for the service was Paddy Ovenden.

After the service, the congregatuion was invited to look over the sanctuary which is being restored and to listen to the pipe organ, also being restored, played by Mrs. Angela Michael, before sitting down to enjoy a delicious feast prepared by the ladies of Bethel and friends.

To God be the glory!
