Sir,
I’d like to let your readers know about a brilliant opportunity coming to libraries across Pembrokeshire this month.
In partnership with Pembrokeshire Library Service, we are helping people with sight or hearing loss to experience the world of technology: to touch, feel and experience the digital world.
We’re showing how people with sensory loss can use technology to stay in touch with friends and family, shop and bank online, even keep a Facebook profile up to date. Our ‘Online Today’ project helps people who have little or no experience of using smartphones, laptops, e-readers like a Kindle to learn how these can help make life easier. We have a selection for people to get their hands on and have a go in a safe environment.
You don’t need to be registered as hard of hearing or partially-sighted, but you do need to reserve a place. Spaces are limited, so call your local library now to book a place.
This is where we will be: November 23 (morning) Milford Haven, 01437 771888; November 24 (morning) Tenby, 01437 775151; November 25 (morning) Fishguard, 01437 776638, (afternoon) Haverfordwest 01437 775244; November 26 (afternoon) Pembroke Dock, 01437 775825.
If you, or someone you know, would benefit from our help, then come along and see us, or for more information about the Online Today project, call on 029 2082 8518 or e-mail us at [email protected]. It’s all free!
