Free buffet - special visitors - guest speaker
Pembrokeshire Prayer for the Suffering Church is a monthly meeting where Christians from many different denominations and backgrounds gather to be informed about, support and pray for those who are suffering hardship and persecution.
For 10 years they have been listening, sending cards, signing petitions, writing to governments, lighting candles, sending money and praying.
They have seen prisoners released, homes and churches rebuilt, people given food and clothes, transport provided and medicine sourced.
PPSC has direct contact across the world with people whose faith and perseverance is an inspiration.
Also enriching is the experience of meeting with others locally who are concerned to obey the command of Jesus to love one another, and who show their love by their deeds.
All local believers are invited to come and celebrate the 10th Anniversary of PPSC.
Anthony Hall, Release International’s National Volunteer Manager and Development Manager, Central England and Wales, will be present, and guest speaker will be Lazarus Yeghnazar, from Iran.
Lazarus was born in Tehran in 1949. At the age of six he saw a vision of Jesus and committed his life to His service. He married Maggie in 1975 and together they have four children.
Lazarus was imprisoned twice before he was 25, just for preaching the Gospel. In 1988, after the eight year war between Iran and Iraq, the family felt God clearly leading them to leave Iran and settled in England.
Celebrations take place at Lamphey Village Hall (SA71 5PB) on Saturday, June 4. 5.30 pm for the free Buffet and 7pm to hear the speakers.
