Tenby’s nurse-led Walk-in Centre, based in the town’s hospital, will be open on week days throughout the Christmas holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, to provide treatment for urgent minor illness and minor injuries.

The service is open all year round, Monday to Friday (including Bank Holidays) from 10am to 5pm for patients to attend.

Accident and Emergency services for serious illness and injury will continue to be delivered at Withybush General Hospital.

Conditions that can be managed by an emergency nurse practitioner at the centre include:

• earache and throat infections;

• skin complaints, including rashes and sunburn;

• minor muscular-skeletal injuries and pain;

• soft tissue injuries;

• hay fever, insect bites and stings;

• minor injuries, cuts, wounds, minor burns;

• minor eye complaints and irritations requiring washouts and irrigation and;

• removal of foreign bodies.
