Saundersfoot Rotary team has been working hard planting purple crocus corms in a rainbow shape at the Saundersfoot Medical Centre. This became the accepted logo to support all the hard work done by the NHS during the Pandemic crisis.
Over recent years, thousands of purple crocus corms have been planted around the village. Many of the local residents took advantage in buying Rotary corms to plant in their own gardens to show their support for The International World Polio Eradication Project from the stall which Rotary held in the Regency Hall on Tuesday, October 25.
They were not alone in supporting this very worthwhile cause as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International are renewing their longstanding partnership to end Polio, announcing a joint commitment of up to $450 million to support the Global Polio Eradication effort.
Rotary thanks you all for your support and looks forward to seeing the splash of colour this coming spring. Two Rotarians are shown just about to finish planting the end of the rainbow. At the end of every rainbow, legend has it that there is a pot of gold. Wait and see!
