Mix up Hallowe’en hijinx with a programme of family fun and activities this half term week with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.

The authority has laid on a week of inspiring family fun, including food fayres, wildlife and hands-on events at its three Pembrokeshire visitor attractions.

There’s a chance to discover ‘Haunted Henllys’ and join in the ancient Samhain wickerman burning celebrations at Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, where a programme of fun family activities introduces you to Celtic life 2,000 years ago.

Go batty at Carew Castle and Tidal Mill with day and evening Hallowe’en spookiness and an action-packed programme including bushcraft, a bat quest and ghostly storytelling and tours.

Get into costume for Carew’s Hallowe’en Spooktacular, with wand making, spell casting, ghoulish games, a bat quest and creepy crafts.

Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre kicks off half-term week with a Harvest Food Fayre on October 25, with food producers around the county selling their wares, with plenty to purchase from the Crafts in the Bay display currently on show. A children’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to celebrate the 150-year anniversary of Alice in Wonderland will take place in the afternoon, with booking essential.

There’s an activity and games-based Museums at Night Hallowe’en special at Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre on October 31 featuring bugs and beasties from Silent World 2U.

The full list of events is available on the National Park Authority’s website www.pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk/events.
