Year 6 pupils from Golden Grove School-Ysgol Gelli Aur in Pembroke have been learning about the First and Second World Wars and other conflicts where men and women have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Ahead of the annual memorial services to mark the end of the Great War, a group of pupils attended at the Pembroke War Memorial to place a cross in the field of remembrance. The pupils acknowledged the names of the fallen from the two world conflicts and stood for a moment of reflection to honour all the people who have lost their lives in all the various conflicts both past and present.
The pupils attending this moment of remembrance will include their thoughts in the project being undertaken.
