During the past 11 weeks, 26 Year 4/5 pupils from Golden Grove School, Pembroke, undertook a 'Life. Live It' British Red Cross first aid course.
This course enabled the children to learn basic first aid skills which they may come across in everyday situations.
The children learnt how to deal with the needs of an unconscious casualty, perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to help a choking adult or child, what to do with a major bleed and also how to assist someone who has burnt themselves.
They even got to look around a working ambulance that the British Red Cross use on events and duties.
Class teacher and trainer Stephanie Watton commented: "The children have worked extremely hard to complete this course and have gained a wealth of invaluable skills."
