Families in Pembroke Dock will have a high-flying treat tomorrow (Saturday) as a very special open air bicentenary event comes to the Memorial Park on Bush Street. The event is being held in partnership with family-friendly worship group, Pembroke Dock Messy Church, part of the Anglican family of congregations in the town. Billed by organisers as an extravaganza of food, flight and friendship, everyone's welcome to take part in a paper plane flying competition, a treasure hunt, picnic, music and dancing. So, get designing and making your plane and bring it along. You can make it any size you like, but it must be made of paper and hand-powered only! The fun kicks-off at 2.30 pm with several competition categories and special prizes for best decorated plane, plus a mystery, celebrity judge. Why not bring some food and drink to enjoy and share? Admission is free, and there'll even be paper available if you want to make a plane right there and then.
