MILFORD Waterfront has already been getting into the festive spirit, with renditions of seasonal songs by the Milford Haven Operatic Society outside the Christmas Market on Saturday.

The indoor Christmas Market took place in the Link Building over the weekend of November 22-23. There, visitors could find handcrafted local gifts and treats, including home-made Welshcakes, local chutneys and gin, wood-crafted items and works of art. Non-alcoholic mulled wine was offered freely, there was a colouring table, and a reindeer display helped people of all ages experience some festive cheer.

Families in search of Santa need not look any further than Milford Waterfront, where Father Christmas will arrive by RNLI Lifeboat on December 6, before he heads to Milford Haven Town Hall later in the day for the town’s Christmas Lights switch-on.

This event, Santa by the Sea, will include musical and walkabout entertainment, face painting and family activities. The event runs 12 – 3pm, with Santa arriving at the marina in the early afternoon. The Milford Haven Town Council Christmas Lights event will start at 4pm.

At the Waterfront Gallery this Sunday (November 30), there is one more artist-led, print-your-own Christmas card session for craft-orientated little ones aged 3-12 years. It’s free but must be booked through the gallery on 07949 763100.

There’ll be an indoor Ice-Skating rink at Sybil House (beside Phoenix Bowl) from December 12-14, where people of all ages can enjoy skating on the synthetic ice rink from midday until 8pm. This family-friendly activity offers all the fun of skating without the chill.

On select dates in December (7, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21), families can experience the enchantment of Christmas at the Link Building, with the Purely Magical Christmas Grotto. Tickets must be booked in advance, and price includes meeting Santa and the elves, professional photography, chocolate gifts and more.

Lucy Wonnacott, Head of Communications and Marketing at Port of Milford Haven said: “Every year the berth holder community, Milford Waterfront businesses and residents all get involved in making the whole place sparkle, so we encourage people to come and see their efforts and enjoy the lights, soak up the festive cheer, and visit the amazing businesses around Milford Waterfront.

“We’re delighted to host so many activities this festive season to support the independent business community here. There will definitely be something for everyone, and new to Milford Waterfront this year, the indoor Ice Rink at Sybil House will be very special – we’re looking forward to seeing everyone getting their skates on.”

With so much going on at Milford Waterfront this Christmas, it’s the perfect place to eat, shop, and enjoy the season, overlooking the sparkling marina.
