ON Tuesday, May 12, Films4Tenby presents The Choral, a 2025 British historical drama film written by Alan Bennett and starring Ralph Feinnes.

Set in 1916, during World War I, in the fictional town of Ramsden, Yorkshire, the film follows the members of the local choral society which recruits a disparate group of townspeople for a performance of Edward Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius, a work chosen because it was not written by a German.

The film was co-produced and directed by Nicholas Hytner and stars Ralph Fiennes, Roger Allam, Mark Addy, Alun Armstrong, Robert Emms, and Simon Russell Beale.

The Choral screens at the De Valence Pavilion, Upper Frog Street, Tenby on May 12 at 7pm. Admission is £5 on the evening, £4 for members, £10 for a family of four.
