The Metropolitan Opera's 19th Live Cinema Season, kicks off with La Sonnambula, a recorded broadcast which appears on the cinema screen at Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre this Sunday.

Nadine Sierra summits another peak of the soprano repertoire as Amina, who sleepwalks her way into audiences’ hearts in Bellini’s poignant tale of love lost and found.

Tenor Xabier Anduaga co-stars as Amina’s fiancé, Elvino, alongside soprano Sydney Mancasola as her rival, Lisa, and bass Alexander Vinogradov as Count Rodolfo. Riccardo Frizza takes the podium for one of opera’s most ravishing works.

Appearing on the Torch Theatre screen on Sunday, October 19, La Sonnambula sees Rolando Villazón in his new production as the tenor who has embarked on a brilliant second career as a director.

Set in the Swiss Alps with the themes of love, loss, and reconciliation at its core, opera fans are in for a treat.
