The Welsh Easter National Swimming Gala took place over the Easter holidays. This is one of three annual swimming galas for the best youth swimmers in the country, and it is a big deal in the swimming world just to qualify for it. Ysgol Greenhill was proud to have two students taking part this year - Lily Rice, who was in with a good chance of achieving a time to swim in the British Nationals, and Elizabeth Clissold who was representing Pembrokeshire in the relays.

It was a very successful meet for both girls. Lily achieved a silver medal in the 100m butterfly, shaving 2 seconds off her previous personal best, and two gold medals in the 100m backstroke and freestyle. Elizabeth swam the freestyle leg for the Pembrokeshire County Swimming medley relay. The team managed a 15 second county record, coming a very respectable 7th place, competing against much bigger clubs. Elizabeth also managed a super pb of 1.03.91 in her 100m leg. Congratulations to both on some wonderful performances!
