ANFIELD VISIT

Ysgol Greenhill’s 6th form LLS students had the opportunity to attend the Global Coaching Conference at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool.

The visit on November 18 gave them a chance to meet a wide range of potential future employers within the sports industry, to ask questions and find out a bit more about how to get into the industry. A massive thank you to LLS for organising and running such a fantastic event.

FORMULA 1 CLUB

This term, Ysgol Greenhill’s new Formula 1 in schools club has started meeting. As a part of the club, pupils have the opportunity to design and build a model F1 car which they will race against other schools. The club is open to all pupils in Years 8 and 9, and runs in room 503 between 3.30 to 4.30 pm.

CHRISTMAS SHOE BOXES ‘SPREAD A LITTLE HAPPINESS’

A huge thank you to our Greenhill community for your contributions to this year’s Rotary Club ‘Spreading a little happiness’ campaign. All four houses contributed to the total of 156 boxes being donated. The Rotary Club of Saundersfoot will now take over Santa’s duties to ensure they arrive safely! The competition element of this drive was met well by all houses, and massive congratulations go to the winning house Galahad. 1st Galahad - 60 boxes ; 2nd Devey - 36 boxes; 3rd Webb - 33 boxes; 4th Miller - 27 boxes.

CONGRATS CARYS

The staff and pupils at Ysgol Greenhill would like to congratulate Carys Wood, of Year 11, on being awarded the Roberts and Craig cup by Tenby Rotary club to recognise her musical achievements this year. Well done Carys, everyone is very proud of you!

CHRISTMAS CRAFTERS

Ysgol Greenhill’s new Christmas craft club has started up recently and are enjoying making Christmas decorations. Their first creations were glittered pine cones and they all really enjoyed decorating them. The Christmas Craft club meets on a Tuesday lunchtime for Years 7 and 8. All are welcome!
