Careers Wales has opened the 2025-2026 professional learning events programme, delivering tailored training for educators to integrate Careers and Work-Related Experiences into their teaching across the Curriculum for Wales.

This new programme is open to participants nationwide and includes a diverse range of online sessions. Available in English and Welsh, the sessions are spread across the autumn, spring, and summer terms.

Delivered via Microsoft Teams, the training is accessible, flexible, and designed to fit educators’ schedules.

Key sessions in the upcoming autumn term include: CWRE (Careers and Work-Related Experiences) Policy Development; National CWRE Network Meeting; CWRE Audit Training; Careers City; Careers in Your Curriculum; AI for Careers in the Classroom and Governor Training.

Since launching professional learning events on its website in September 2024, Careers Wales has seen strong engagement from teachers across Wales, with courses promoted each academic term and additional targeted promotion for individual events.

Teachers who took part in last year’s training events say:

“Really informative and rich in ideas and inspiration, I would highly recommend this training to all my colleagues!"

“A really enjoyable session with plenty of discussion and ideas."

“Really useful ideas that will help us move forward as we evaluate schemes of learning and further embed CWRE."

Mark Owen, head of services to stakeholders at Careers Wales, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for teachers and education professionals to access practical, up-to-date careers information. These events give them the chance to ask questions, share ideas, and build their confidence in supporting young people with their career choices.

“I’d encourage education professionals to explore the courses we offer and see how they can support them in embedding CWRE into their teaching.”

A full schedule, along with session descriptions and booking links, is available on the professional learning events page of the Careers Wales website.
