A DRIVER from Letterston was fined by Haverfordwest Magistrates after pleading guilty to using a vehicle after the tax had expired.
The 33-year-old driver, resident at Station Road, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on September 15.
On November 25, 2024 she had used a Ford Focus car on the A40 at Wolf’s Castle, when it was unlicensed, contrary to section 29(1) and (3) of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994. The previous licence had expired on August 31. The annual rate of duty at that time was £190.
The defendant was ordered to pay excise back duty of £47, plus costs of £85 and a fine of £40: a total of £172 to be paid by October 12.
