A CONTINGENT Destruction Order for an XL Bully type dog named Dutchess was issued at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 22.

Elisha Callen, of Glenview Avenue, Pembroke Dock pleaded not guilty to possessing or having custody of a fighting dog (an XL Bully type dog) at Pembroke Dock on July 27, 2025, contrary to section 1(3) and (7) of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, but was found guilty in absence and convicted by Haverfordwest Court on November 6.

Callen was fined £120 and a Contingent Destruction Order (Proper Control) - a court ruling that saves a dog from destruction provided the owner complies with strict, mandatory control conditions - was made for Dutchess.

Costs to Crown Prosecution Service were £100.
