A HAVERFORDWEST man who pleaded guilty to stalking has been handed a community order with 200 hours’ unpaid work and a restraining order.

James Bevan, of Fleming Crescent, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court for sentencing on Tuesday, June 16.

Between February 1 and May 24 at Haverfordwest, he had repeatedly turned up outside a woman’s house shouting, had entered her house without permission, refusing to leave and had repeatedly sent messages despite requests to stop.

The 18-month community order requires the 53-year-old to attend appointments and participate in rehabilitation activities as required, up to a maximum of 20 days, and prohibits him contacting the woman, including electronically, except in certain circumstances specified by the court.
