Over thirty delegates travelled from all over the UK to Pembrokeshire recently for the European Maritime and Fisheries Funded (EMFF) UK Fisheries Local Action Group National Network conference.
The event was hosted by Pembrokeshire’s Cleddau 2 Coast Local Fisheries Action Group (C2C FLAG) and held over two days in the Business Innovation Centre (BIC), Pembroke Dock, and the Giltar Hotel in Tenby.
Delegates included members of the Welsh Government, UK Marine Management Organisation, Department of Environment Farming and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Marine Scotland, FARNET, as well as the officers, managers and administrators from the majority of the FLAGs around the UK.
The event provided an opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and learn best practice in regards to Community Led Development (CLLD) and European funding in fishing communities.
Over the two days delegates attended workshops and presented projects.
They also visited local businesses around the coast including The Pembrokeshire Seafood Company in Freshwater West, Williams Marine Limited and Milford Haven Docks.
Pembrokeshire C2C FLAG seeks project proposals from communities in Pembrokeshire with links to fisheries, aquaculture and maritime activities, which will help local people to
