The Pembrokeshire branch of Cruse Bereavement Care, the UK’s leading charity on bereavement, has received a boost from councillors in Tenby.

Correspondence from the charity’s chairman, Dr. Rebecca Cadbury, was received by members of Tenby Town Council at their meeting on Tuesday night.

“Cruse does not charge for its bereavement support - we want people to be able to contact us without worrying whether they can afford it, but it is vital that we raise funds if we are to continue to train volunteer support workers, to give free support and to enable us to provide support in the community,” she explained.

The Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, proposed donating £200 to the cause, with her colleague Clr. Viv Perry seconding the proposal, and fellow councillors agreeing.
