The Public Protection team at Pembrokeshire County Council have reiterated their advice to the public to avoid the beach at Llanreath, Pembroke Dock, following the discovery of oil along the shoreline last week.
Officers put up warning signs advising people that part of the beach had been contaminated with oil, and that members of the public should avoid these areas.
However, some people are continuing to come into contact with the oil, despite the advice.
The oil has been found on leaf debris at the high water mark, and there is an oil sheen on the rocks. The stream near the footpath which leads down the valley from South Pembrokeshire Golf Club has also been affected.
The County Council is continuing to undertake clean-up measures together with other agencies, and are working to ensure there is minimum impact on the public and the environment.
