This week in the Senedd, the Bus Services (Wales) Bill was backed – a plan for one network, one timetable and one ticket across buses and trains.

Described by First Minister Eluned Morgan as a “big step forward for buses in Wales,” the bill aims to provide reliable, affordable, accessible services; greener travel that works for rural communities; a system built around people, not profit.

“Add to that £1 fares for 16–21 year olds and we’re on the road to a modern, reliable and affordable public transport system,” said the First Minister.

“Buses are lifelines for communities across Mid & West Wales – connecting people to jobs, health services, schools and friends.

“I am proud that Welsh Labour is putting communities first.”
