THE annual church service of the Gild of Freemen of Pembroke took place on November 16, when members and guests joined worshippers at the town’s St Mary’s Church for Morning Prayer.
At the service, conducted by Gild Chaplain Rev’d Canon Roger Jones, a most thoughtful and memorable address was delivered by guest preacher Rev’d Adrian Davies.
The Gild’s previous Master, Cllr Dennis Evans, and the newly elected Master of the Gild, Cllr Aden Brinn JP, read the lessons.
Amongst the guests of the Gild was Mr Charles Davies, representing the Gild of Freemen of Haverfordwest.
Following the service, the annual luncheon took place at The Old Kings Arms Hotel, Pembroke. The Master of the Gild delivered his speech, thanking all involved in the service and luncheon.
The previous Master presented his robe and medallion to Cllr Brinn.
