TWO choirs led by the same musical director joined forces to raise funds for Monkton Priory Church, with the splendid acoustics enhancing a delightful programme.

Juliet Rossiter, musical director of both Pembroke and District Male Choir and ladies’ choir Serendipity, was constantly in action, conducting 17 individual pieces. The male choir performed first, then it was the Narberth ladies’ turn, before joining together for the patriotic ‘We’ll Keep A Welcome’ and the Welsh National Anthem.

Rev’d Joan Allen welcomed the choirs. MCs were Sandra Weigel of Serendipity and Matthew John of Pembroke and District. Accompanists were Serendipity’s Heather Williams and Peter Griffiths, again guesting for the Male Voice.

Following the concert refreshments were enjoyed in the church hall. Jerry Parker expressed thanks to the church ladies.
