THIS week (June 7-15) is Great Big Green Week and a programme of environmentally conscious events is taking place at Tenby this Saturday.

Tenby Town Council Community Engagement Officer Anne Draper says: “Let’s swap together for good during Great Big Green Week.

“We can all make small swaps, large swaps and swaps that change the system, to make our communities better.

“By coming together, we’ll also send a message loud and clear to our politicians and decision makers that we need to swap old ways for better ways now.”

On Saturday, June 14, join the Time for Tenby Litter Pick and help to keep the town looking great. Assemble at St Julian’s Church, Tenby Harbour at 10am. Equipment will be supplied.

On Saturday afternoon, 2-4pm, head to Augustus Place Hall for the Tenby Repair Café and Book Swap. To celebrate Great Big Green Week, the Repair Cafe this month will be also hosting a book swap.

As well as anything you want fixed, bring along any books you no longer want, and come away with some new reading material!

Later that same afternoon (June 14), The End of the Line, an ‘eye-opening’ 2009 film about the fishing industry will be screened at Augustus Place Hall. The screening is 5-7pm; all are welcome. Come early and bring some food to share.

Finally, on Monday, June 16, 4.30-6pm, Tenby Citizen Science Club welcomes all ages to have fun and do science together - a chance to find out about citizen science and the different projects you can get involved in.
