A couple of weeks ago, a team of young engineering apprentices came to deliver a project for our community - Challenge Anneka style.

The aim was to deliver the project from start to finish in 24 hours.

They had to get the materials and build an outdoor cooking area in the St. Oswald's community garden, near to Foundry House Community Centre, Pembroke, complete with barbecue and clay oven.

They made a good start - have started a floor and obtained bricks and other materials and they helped with the planting of the garden too.

However, they met several obstacles which they had not anticipated - as happens with all projects of course.

So they did not get it all done and the wonderful Development Company in Haverfordwest have arranged for another group to come to finish it all on Friday, April 17.

One of obstacles they met was that they did not have time to arrange for volunteer help from the community so they have asked us to e-mail round to see if there are people who could come along on Friday, April 17, to help them.

If you have time that day and can give some help in any way can you let us know or just turn up anytime after 9 am. If the people you work with or a group that you know of can help, please pass this on to them to contact us about it.
