There is not long to go now until this Sunday’s gala music gig, Viva La Diva at Narberth RFC this Sunday (June 26), and John Lllewellyn treasurer of Narberth RFC together with Rotarian John Sleigh, Secretary of Narberth and Whitland Rotary have bought 10 tickets each to donate to Ukrainian families that have relocated to the local area.

Concert organiser Rotarian John Hughes, said that this was a tremendously generous act by the two Johns and that the tickets have been warmly welcomed by the recipients. Tickets have also been left with Daniel Sheen (pictured) at Narberth Museum where the Ukrainian families meet and enquiries can be made by families or sponsors to John Hughes on 01834 842552.

Tickets are still available for the much-anticipated Viva La Diva event and the organisers are very pleased to say that the special £15 ticket price saving £5 off the list price is being maintained, including for walk ups at the gate. Full details of where to get tickets including online purchases can be found at www.nwrotary.co.uk .

Fellow event organiser Rotarian Ken Morgan said: “We wanted to do something to help to allow everyone to have a night out and the large capacity at Narberth RFC and the great support of our sponsors allows us to do that. We are delighted with the response, and hope that many more will join us on Sunday.”

Another sidenote is that Kevin Shales, leader and keyboard player of SORTED, will be pleased to welcome his Mum and Dad, both in their mid-90’s to view the show, and it will be the first time that they have seen Kevin play for some 30 years.

Narberth RFC has a 500 seat Grandstand, including a disabled ramp which was provided by local architect Rotarian Ken Morgan, Narberth & Whitland Rotary and local traders a few years ago, and Rotarian John Hughes reminds everyone that the Club is providing a free carer ticket to support those with accessibility needs and they can be obtained by calling John on 01834 842552.

• The Clubs are thankful to Narberth Junior School who are allowing free parking at the school site on Sunday. No vehicular access will be available at Narberth RFC.
