VOLUNTEERS at Pembrokeshire Food Bank were grateful to receive a donation of £370 from Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club.
The money had been raised through Bucket Collections at Narberth RFC on Saturday, December 13 and the Santa Run in Narberth on Sunday, December 14.
A cheque for £370 was presented to the Narberth Foodbank team by Narberth and Whitland Rotary President Robin Bradbury. The volunteers responded: “We are very grateful for your support of our local community.”
With Foodbank Centres in Narberth, Pembroke Dock, Neyland, Haverfordwest and Fishguard, Pembrokeshire Food Bank provides emergency food parcels and support to individuals and families in crisis across the county, helping to make sure no-one in Pembrokeshire has to go hungry.
Pembrokeshire Food Bank is part of a nationwide network of food banks, supported by The Trussell Trust.
It is part of the FareShare FoodCloud initiative to reduce food waste from county-wide shops, offering fruit, vegetables and bakery goods to all in the county without need of a voucher, during each open session at all five centres.
