Following a change in circumstances, the incumbent, Chief Petty Officer (SCC) Kim Styles has decided to step down as the Commanding Officer, after carrying out the role for nearly

two years.

Every Sea Cadet Unit in the United Kingdom requires an Officer in Charge or Commanding Officer to add a ‘leader’ for moving the unit’s forward, plus a point of contact for accountability and responsibility.

Lieutenant (SCC) William Elliott RNR has previously been the Commanding Officer and a Cadet at Milford Haven and is up for the challenge of leading the both, benefiting from shared resources and developing two great teams that join

together.

Lieutenant (SCC) William Elliott RNR commented: “I am delighted to be able to support Tenby Unit moving forward and hope to see it flourish; with a particular emphasison growing the Junior Sea Cadet Section.

I’ve paid public thanks to Chief Petty Officer (SCC) Kim Styles for her time and commitment in the role; it certainly isn’t easy and we are all volunteers at the end of the day.

"I’m glad that she has agreed to stay on and work as a part of my team.”

He also added: “It would also be remiss of me to say that we are welcoming new cadets and adult volunteers who are interested in joining.

"Feel free to make contact through the below information and follow us on facebook.”
