The Lloyds Bank branches in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock celebrate their 100th anniversary today (Friday).

To celebrate the anniversary, information and objects from the archives will be in the branch.

Customers, together with people who used to work at the branch and local dignitaries have been invited to the branches to mark the occasion.

Refreshments will be served in both branches all day and branches will be collecting for Lloyds Banking Group's Charity of the Year, Alzheimer's Society.

To help raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society, two staff members, Rhys Hughes and Kayleigh Adams, are taking part in the Lloyds Bank sponsored Cardiff Half Marathon.

Diane Davies, bank manager at Lloyds Bank, Pembroke Dock, and Juliet Mitchell, bank manager at Pembroke, say: "It's fantastic to be here to celebrate our 100th anniversary with our staff and customers. It's wonderful to be able to trace our branches in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock back so far and to think how much things have changed over the last 100 years.

"Even with the developments in online and mobile banking our branches are still incredibly important to us. We all look forward to continuing to serve our customers here in Pembroke and Pembroke Dock over the coming years."
