Last October Castle Brass, the Pembrokeshire Wind Band, with the support or RWE, Pembroke Power Station, held a concert in the new Concert Hall of Ysgol Harri Tudur in Pembroke.
The aim was to raise funds in support of a band member, Lin Abbott, who had courageously donated a kidney to her nephew.
The concert was a great success with a wide variety of music being performed by the band who were supported by the school choir and a total of over £1,400 was raised.
A donation of £500 was made to Southmead Hospital, Bristol, where the transplant took place and a cheque was also sent to Kidney Wales.
On Thursday, December 13 members of Castle Brass were delighted to deliver some new equipment, which was purchased with the money raised, to the Renal Unit at Withybush Hospital.
