When Richard and Jo Hayman, owners of Norton Farm in Rosemarket decided this year to make a donation to Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship (PATCH), they inspired two other local businesses to join them.

“Del Fecci, of D. Fecci & Sons Fish and Chip Shop in Tenby, explained:

“When we heard what the Haymans were doing, we asked them to deliver 10 sacks of potatoes on our behalf.

“We have been joined by Top of Town Chippy in Pembroke. This makes the total donation contribution to one ton.”

PATCH charity co-ordinator Tracy Olin having revealed recently that fresh food donations were greatly appreciated, the response from PATCH was understandably enthusiastic:

“An incredible donation of potatoes... 10 sacks from D. Fecci & Sons in Tenby, 10 from Top of Town chip shop in Pembroke and 20 sacks from Norton Farm. Thank you so much. Our clients will appreciate these fresh potatoes so much.”

”We thought it would be great to help out people in our own communities during a testing time of the year. I was delighted that two of our chip shops were also happy to help out towards the donation,” said Richard Hayman, of Norton Farm.
