Pembrokeshire Tourism and Pembrokeshire County Council representatives received a warm welcome by two of the county’s newest tourism businesses this week.
With the aim of discovering some of the new products available to the visitor, the group of representatives visited Florence Spring Camping Village and Hangar 5 on Monday.
Those visiting the new sites included Maudie Hughes, chief executive, Jane Rees-Baynes, chairperson, and Chris Osborne, director from Pembrokeshire Tourism, Clr. Keith Lewis, Clr. Rob Lewis and Martin White, head of regeneration at Pembrokeshire County Council.
Throughout the day, the group were shown around each tourism business which together have invested over £400,000 into the Pembrokeshire tourism economy this year alone.
Maudie Hughes commented: “It’s great to see continuing investment in the tourism product in Pembrokeshire. Both businesses have demonstrated high quality and innovative products which will enhance the visitor offering here in Pembrokeshire.
“Hangar 5, Wales’ first indoor trampoline park, opened to the public in July this year and boasts an impressive 10,000-foot of interconnecting trampolines, slam dunk basketball nets, giant airbags and a café.
Florence Springs Camping Village, sister company to Heatherton Country Sport Park is a luxury and eco-friendly camp site which houses sustainable handmade yurt houses just outside Tenby.
Pembrokeshire County Council’s deputy leader Clr. Keith Lewis said: “It was wonderful to visit and see at first hand two local businesses investing in alternative tourist attractions. They are providing something different to the more conventional tourist experiences. As well as providing jobs and investment, they are strengthening Pembrokeshire’s established reputation as a leading tourist destination.”
