The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, Cleddau Lodge, based in Letterston, may only consist of a small number of members, but they work extremely hard throughout the year raising money for local charities.

They can often be seen in Withybush Hospital and many local stores with their collecting buckets, as well as holding a variety of events, not only for their own pleasure, but for helping and entertaining the local community who support them in all they do.

The chosen charity for 2015 was Breast Cancer Care Cymru and they raised the extraordinary amount of £9,000 - apparently one of their best ever achievements. As well as this they also made several smaller donations to other charities.

At their annual three-course luncheon on January 9, attended by the members and 170 senior citizens of Letterston, guests of the lodge, the cheque was presented to Sheila Ralph, Pembrokeshire’s volunteer for Breast Cancer Care, who outlined some of the work the charity did for the many people affected by the disease.
